About Us    

ZAP are the architectural design partnership of Zohra Chiheb and Pol Gallagher. Zohra and Pol met studying at the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art.

Zohra has finished her RIBA part II Architectural Diploma at the London South Bank University School of Architecture winning the RIBA South London Award for Excellence [Best in Show]. This year she set up the LSBU Humanitarian Hub*. Zohra has been invited to sit on this year's RIBA Education committee. Zohra has worked for 3DReid in Glasgow and PTW Architects, Australia as well as in practice in Morocco. She spent summer 2010 building houses on an eco-village in Denmark.Zohra currently works for Harper Downey Architects, Farringdon, London.


Pol has completed his RIBA part II at Sheffield University School of Architecture and currently works for Hopkins Architects after leaving Grimshaw Architects, London. He has also worked for Sarah Wigglesworth Architects and completed his part one at Groupdyer Architects, Paddington, London. Pol has previously worked in San Francisco, Donegal and Glasgow and regularly exhibits his drawings in the UK and Ireland. Pol works part-time on illustration work and installation design. Pol recieved the Dr. Brian Wragg prize in Architectural Draftsmanship in 2010 from the University of Sheffield. Pol also won first place in a YouTube 'define your university' animation competition in 2010  recieving a £3000 prize. (see 'Sheffield Made Me' by poleire on youtube).


*The Hub brings together students and academics from across engineering, architecture, planning and social policy to discuss and research humanitarian design and international development.
