Inviting Students to 'VENT' how they feel about Architectural Education and poor Job Prospects

The current average spend on 5 years of architecture school is £63 726, set to rise to

£88 726 with the increase in fees suggested by the new coalition government. Zap Architecture offered students and graduates the chance to ‘visually VENT’ exactly how they feel about this.

Zap Architecture simply asked students to submit an A2 piece of artwork to creatively express how they feel about the cost of their architectural education. These are the top twenty shortlisted entries.

The judges for this competition were:

Chris Lee                   2010 Yaya winner of Serie Architects

Paola Boffo                Associate at Ellis Williams Architects and RIBA London Chair

Oliver Wainwright     Buildings editor at Building Design magazine

Peter Randall-Page    Renowned British sculptor

The prizes were kindly sponsored by the Design Museum, Frame Magazine, Blueprint magazine, Rhino Software, McNeel and BD magazine.
